East Anglia Avengers (UEA) is one of the University of East Anglia’s esteemed outputs. Founded in 1963, the University of East Anglia Avengers is a public research university. There are 26 different schools at the university, which has a 130-hectare campus west of the city center. There are more than 18 000 undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled at this high-quality research university in Norwich, England (a city in Norfolk, about 160 km northeast of London).

Title: INTERNATIONAL & EU SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (University of East Anglia Undergraduate Scholarships)

This scholarship is​ developed to award international fee status applicants who have been offered a study program at UEA. The applicants should clearly justify how studying at UEA will help them to contribute to their field of study. The value of the scholarship is  £4,000 per year of study for three years of your bachelor’s degree with the very best submissions considered for awards of up to Â£8,000 per year. 

Application processes

When applying for this scholarship, you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for the first year of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA. Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.   Those who meet the basic requirements of the scholarship will be considered by the selection committee of the university.

Title: THE GEOSPATIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND (University of East Anglia Undergraduate Scholarships)

This scholarship is intended to support​ Black African, Caribbean, Black or mixed Black heritage students​ in the study of geography and geoscience. The scholarships will promote geography and geoscience as positive life choices. for students​ and provide financial and other support for students throughout their studies​. There are two scholarships every academic year:​

  • Undergraduate Award of £30,000 to study geography or geoscience (£10,000/yr). The award can be spent on fees or maintenance.​
  • Master’s Award of £20,000 (full time 1 year Master’s) to study within the disciplines of geography or geoscience.​

Application process

To be considered for the undergraduate award, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • You have Black or mixed Black heritage
  • You have an offer from a UK university to study:
    • An undergraduate degree in geography or a related geoscience
    • A Master’s degree in GIS or a course with a significant component of GIS
  • You meet at least one of the following:
    • You have qualified for free school meals
    • You are a young carer
    • You are a looked after child
    • Priority will be given to applicants whose household income is assessed as £23,999 or less. Applicants with a household income of between £24,000 and £33,900 may also apply
  • You can demonstrate how and why the scholarship will enable you to fulfil your educational and professional ambitions.

Title: UNDERGRADUATE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP at the University of Glasgow (University of East Anglia Undergraduate Scholarships)

The University of Glasgow has a number of Undergraduate Excellence Scholarships available to new International and EU students for 2022 entry. The scholarship is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £7,000 per year of study and is subject to satisfactory progress for consecutive years of study.  

To be eligible, applicants must

  • have an International fee status
  • hold an offer of a place for an undergraduate programme
  • demonstrate excellent academic achievement before starting University, students achieving (or predicted to achieve) the following A-Level (or local equivalent) are guaranteed a scholarship offer

This is awarded as a tuition fee discount of £7,000 per year of study.

Application Process

Applicants holding offers will be automatically assessed for the scholarship based on academic merit. Applicants who are being considered for the scholarship will be notified within two weeks of receiving an offer of admission. There is no separate application form required.

Title: Reach Oxford Scholarship (University of East Anglia Undergraduate Scholarships)

Students should note they must apply for admission to the University before they can be considered for a Reach Oxford Scholarship. The University is unable to consider any scholarship applications from students who have not been offered a place at Oxford.
