What is Coca Cola Scholarship?

One of the best achievement-based scholarships for seniors high school graduates is the Coca-Cola scholarship. The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is aimed to find and support gifted high school students with the special leadership capacity and the ability to improve the quality of their schools and communities.

Annually, there are 150 Coca-Cola Scholars to win this $20,000 scholarship. In 2021, this Foundation supported more than 6,450 Coca-Cola Scholars with over $75 million.

Who can apply for Coca Cola Scholarship?

Study Level:

  • Current high school (or home-schooled) student attending a school in US (will graduate during the 2021-2022 academic school year)
  • Expecting to receive a high school diploma during the current academic year
  • Planning to seek a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution (Planning to attend US school)

Nationality and Citizenship:

US Citizens, US Nationals, US Permanent Residents, Refugees, Asylees, Cuban-Haitian Entrants, or Humanitarian Parolees – based on the guidelines utilized by U.S. Department of Education for Federal Financial Aid eligibility

Minimum Grade:

A minimum overall B/3.0 GPA in high school coursework

Requirement:

  • Children or grandchildren of current employees, officers, or owners of Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions, or subsidiaries.
  • Children or grandchildren of former employees who are currently receiving retirement benefits based on their previous employment with Coca-Cola bottling companies, The Coca-Cola Company, Company divisions, or subsidiaries.
  • International students (with the exception of students at DoD schools)
  • High school graduates
  • Temporary residents

Application Documents

In the 1 phase of the application, you don’t need to submit any documents.

In Phase 2 of the Application Process, 1,600 Semifinalists were selected from 10 Selection Districts and it consists of additional information on your high school and community activities, short answer responses, three short essays (less than 500 words), 1 recommendation letter, & a high school transcript.

First Phase Coca-Cola Scholarship

Generally, the first phase of the application process will be started from August to the end of October.

Second Phase Coca-Cola Scholarship

The second phase will be started in November and will be finished in January. Everyone who submits in Phase 1 will be notified of the status in Phase 2 in November.

In Second Phase, 1,600 Semifinalists will be selected from 10 Selection Districts and it consists of additional information on your high school and community activities, short answer responses, three short essays (less than 500 words), and 1 recommendation letter, & a high school transcript.

Last Phase of Coca Cola Scholarship

The last part of Coca Cola Scholarship is started from January to March. The committee will be selected 250 Regional Finalists’ names and Regional Finalists will be interviewed by a panel of veteran Coca-Cola Scholars and a CCSF staff member.

Finally, 150 Coca-Cola Scholars will be named by early March.
