Job description:

This research role, under Professor So’s guidance, is focused on leukemia research, particularly in understanding the interaction between DNA damage repair, replication stress, and epigenetic networks. Responsibilities include leading projects, conducting advanced analyses, and integrating new laboratory techniques. The role requires independent project development, effective teamwork, and mentoring responsibilities. The initial contract is for three years with potential for renewal.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Education: BSc in biomedical sciences or equivalent, and a PhD focusing on epigenetic regulation or DDR.
  • Experience: Expertise in transcription/epigenetic data, DDR, protein purification, with at least two high-impact journal publications.
  • Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology and biochemistry, independent laboratory work, and assay development.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge: Background in epigenetic gene study, especially PRMT.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with protein complexes purification, cellular biology, immunology, and mouse models.
  • Teamwork: Capability to assist and guide PhD students and postdocs, with a flexible and team-oriented approach.
