Cancer Translational Medicine Projects
Seeking applications to fill a Postdoctoral fellow with a strong interest in immunology, cell signaling. Projects are focused on: a) using molecular and drug development strategies to define critical steps in carcinogenesis and cancer progression including transcriptomic analysis of breast cancer models and samples; and b) interrogating and modulating, for therapeutic application, the immunobiological mechanisms underlying the more aggressive cancer biology in African American women and elucidating the importance of these mechanisms for response to current therapeutic strategies. Applications from talented, well-trained and passionate researchers from those populations affected by disparities in cancer outcomes are encouraged.

Qualifications and Experience
A PhD, MD or MD/PhD in a biology-related discipline is required: immunology, molecular biology, cancer biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, pathology, or a related discipline. Research experience in immunology and murine tumor models needed.

Qualities sought: 
Demonstrates critical thinking, highly developed interpersonal skills, and outstanding communication skills. The ideal candidate should be collaborative and possess a high level of self-motivation. Experience with scientific writing, statistics, and analysis software as well as the ability to perform detailed work, multi-task, and problem solving. Proficient in general computing, including Microsoft Office applications. Cell culture experience is required; previous experience with various murine models is a benefit, but not required.
