Ignite Fellowship – Transforming Lives Through Education

The Ignite Fellowship provides a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of students. As an Ignite Fellow, you will take on the role of a mentor and a guide, leading small group virtual learning experiences with students. To ensure your success, you will be supported by a school-based, veteran educator who will help you navigate the challenges and celebrate the triumphs.

The commitment required for the Ignite Fellowship is approximately 3 to 5 hours per week during regular K-12 school hours. The flexibility of the program allows you to explore available schedules and choose the one that best suits you. However, keep in mind that the schedules are based on partner school availability, and positions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In some instances, it may not be possible to find an immediate match, but accepted Fellows can defer to join in a future semester.

The reach of the Ignite Fellowship extends across the country, covering 5 different time zones, making it accessible to aspiring leaders from diverse backgrounds and locations. Once you sign up for the program, you will be assigned a consistent schedule for the entire semester, ensuring a steady and meaningful engagement with the students you’ll be supporting. Here is a glimpse of a sample weekly schedule to give you an idea of what to expect:

  • Monday: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM (Virtual Learning Experience)
  • Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Preparation and Learning)
  • Friday: 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM (Virtual Learning Experience)

To sweeten the deal, Ignite Fellows receive a $1200 (pre-tax) award upon successful completion of the Fellowship term, making it a rewarding experience both professionally and financially.
