Summary:
The role involves tackling the complex challenges of drug discovery by focusing on protein-protein interactions (PPIs), a vital aspect of cellular mechanisms. Despite extensive research, achieving success with small molecule drugs targeting PPIs has been limited. The candidate will employ innovative methods combining metadynamics and path statistical mechanics to address the issues of scalability and time scale in PPI study.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in physics, chemistry, applied mathematics, or computer science.
- Proficiency with UNIX-like operating systems.
- Strong mathematical and programming expertise, including R, Python, Keras, and TensorFlow.
- Desirable experience with molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and machine learning (ML).
- Proficient in English with TOEFL or similar certification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Experience working in, or willingness to adapt to, international team settings.
- Availability to travel between labs during PhD research.
