Tasks:

  • Teach courses in English, including exercises, seminars, and projects, and supervise final theses as part of the chair Methods of Geoinformation Science.
  • Support research focus areas including semantic 3D city models, digital urban twins, and applications of artificial intelligence methods (machine learning, neural networks) to 2D/3D geospatial data and 3D point clouds, with potential for doctoral studies.
  • Organize courses, semester schedules, and exam scheduling.

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree (Diplom, Master, or equivalent) in geodesy/geoinformatics, computer science, or related fields.
  • Profound knowledge of modeling 2D/3D geodata, particularly 3D city models.
  • Fundamental understanding of algorithmic geospatial data processing, machine learning methods, neural networks, and experience with processing 3D point clouds.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, preferably Python.
  • Strong mathematical background in linear algebra and scientific computing.
