Summary:
They are at the forefront of molecular diagnostics, utilizing biological and solid-state nanopores to identify peptides and their post-translational modifications in various pathological conditions. The project aims to simultaneously monitor electrical currents and optical signals in nanopores to characterize bound peptides.
Requirements: They seek two motivated individuals (m/f/d) for two-year postdoc positions as part of the “nEOdiag” research cluster funded by the Carl-Zeiss-Stiftung at the University of Freiburg. Responsibilities include designing lab equipment, creating nanopores, molecular biology work, data analysis, presentation, and manuscript preparation. Qualifications:
- PhD in physics, chemistry, biophysics, or equivalent.
- Strong interest in microscopy, electrophysiology, instrument design, and nanopore physics.
- Experience in electrophysiology and/or microscopy.
- Background in programming, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
