Benefits: $2,000 annually

Undergraduate eligibility & maintenance requirements:

  • High school GPA of 3.2 or higher
  • Must enroll in freshman year as an accounting major in the 4+1 accelerated program 
  • Must enroll for a minimum of 12 credits per semester

  • Scholarship is renewable provided the academic requirements specified in the acceptance letter, including CGPA, are maintained

Dean’s Scholar Awards are available to Continuing Education incoming and re-admitted students who register for at least six (6) credits during their first semester at the University. Two scholarships are awarded annually to newly admitted Continuing Education degree candidates. Students must have previously completed a minimum of 12 credits either at Rider or in transfer, with a minimum cumulative 2.5 GPA to be eligible to apply. Provides need based grants to women in the United States and Canada whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families. A woman is eligible to apply for a Program for Continuing Education (PCE) grant if she:

  • Is a citizen of and studying in the United States or Canada
  • Has had at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life while being within 24 months of completing the educational program that will lead

Title: Alpha Sigma Lambda Foundation Scholarship

Attend an institution with an active Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter and may be nominated by that chapter, but the scholarship applicant does not have to be a chapter member. Rider has an active ASL chapter. Applicant must be 24 years of age or older, be matriculated in a degree program leading to the baccalaureate degree, have completed 30 graded semester hours in institutional coursework by the completion of the fall or January term at the institution currently enrolled with a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, and demonstrate financial need for the current academic year at the institution where the student is currently enrolled. Complete the application materials in the required format and submit it to the Chapter Councilor at Rider with sufficient lead time for verification.
