Title: Adjunct Faculty for the Doctoral and Master’s Programs (Pepperdine Jobs)

Applications are invited for an adjunct faculty position at The Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University.

GSEP is seeking accomplished educators with substantive knowledge and experience in the field of teaching and learning. Face-to-face sessions are offered at the West Los Angeles and Irvine Campuses. Online teaching occurs in Courses powered by Sakai and engages students in synchronous and asynchronous learning.

Responsibilities Include:

● Preparation of interactive presentations for quality face-to-face and online teaching
● Response to student inquiries in a timely manner
● Provision of substantive and ongoing feedback to students
● Maintenance and enhancement of the quality of teaching in the program
● Attendance at adjunct faculty meetings
● Travel as required to campus and other locations as needed

The ideal candidates will:

● Possess a Master’s Degree (Doctorate Preferred for Master’s programs- Required for doctoral programs). Some courses require a teaching credential
● Demonstrate experience in multiple and diverse settings
● Understand the development of praxis in teaching, learning technologies, and education
● Value a student-centered approach to the teaching and learning processes
● Engage students through rich use of technology in online learning environments

Title: Program Director, Online M.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Psychology (MAP/MACLP) Programs (Pepperdine Jobs)

The Program Director for the Online MAP/MACLP Programs is a full-time, non-tenure track position within the Psychology Division of the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University.  The Program Director works with a team of faculty and staff members to ensure the quality and success of these two graduate psychology programs.  The Program Director oversees the coordination and administration of day-to-day processes related to admissions, registration, enrollment, and matriculation.  The Program Director works with program personnel to implement practices to manage and resolve issues related to academic disputes, students of concern, program transfers, and other academic matters.  The Program Director participates in program assessment, maintenance of program handbooks and documentation, and program marketing efforts.  In addition to administrative responsibilities, the Program Director teaches courses in our graduate programs in Psychology.  The Program Director reports to the Assistant Dean of Online Psychology Programs.  

Qualifications:

Applicants should have at least 2 years of academic leadership experience at the time of hire, and demonstrated ability to work effectively with university stakeholders.  Applicants with leadership in online programs are preferred. Applicants should possess an earned doctorate in psychology or a related field such as family therapy from a regionally accredited institution, clinical experience, and teaching experience at the university level. We seek applicants with demonstrated multicultural awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to incorporating cultural competence and cultural humility in leadership, teaching and scholarship.

Title: Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior (Pepperdine Jobs)

Location: Seaver College (Business Administration Division)

Summary: The business administration division of the Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences at Pepperdine University is seeking an assistant professor of management. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in management or a related field such as Industrial-Organizational Psychology and demonstrate a genuine interest in teaching undergraduate students in an institution committed to the liberal arts. While organizational behavior will be the main teaching assignment, the ability to teach in other management areas such as strategic management and entrepreneurship is strongly preferred. Candidates are expected to complete all requirements for the degree before the date of appointment, which begins August 1, 2021. A documented research interest in management is required. Preference will be given to candidates with practical and teaching experience.
