The group’s work centers on understanding this balance, employing yeast and mammalian cells to study a novel intracellular phosphate reception (INPHORS) pathway. This pathway features evolutionarily conserved elements such as SPX domains, inositol pyrophosphates, and inorganic polyphosphates.
