Title: The PEO International Peace Scholarship (IPS)
The PEO International Peace Scholarship (IPS) is an international scholarship that is based on peace and understanding. This international Scholarship was founded in 1949 with the main goal of supporting selected women around the world to continue their studies in the USA or Canada.
Eligibility of the PEO International Peace Scholarship (IPS)
- An applicant must be qualified for admission to full-time graduate study and working toward a graduate degree in an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.
- A student who is a citizen or permanent resident of the United States or Canada is not eligible. Note: A student with residency for tax purposes only is permitted.
- Scholarships are not given for online courses, research, internships or for practical training if not combined with coursework.
- In order to qualify for her first scholarship, an applicant must have a full year of coursework remaining, be enrolled and in residence for the entire school year.
- Doctoral students who have completed coursework and are working only on dissertations are not eligible as first-time applicants.
- International students attending Cottey College are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

One of the recent exceptional high school senior women scholarships is the P.E.O. STAR Scholarship (STAR) which is aimed to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the USA or Canada. This Scholarship was founded in 2009 and is a non-renewable $2,500 scholarship for graduating high school senior women. This fund can be paid directly to the universities or institutions. Moreover, it can be used for different costs of study and living such as tuition and fees or required books and equipment.
Eligibility of the PEO STAR Scholarship (STAR)
There are some special requirements for the PEO STAR Scholarship (STAR).
- Exhibits excellence in leadership, academics, extracurricular activities, community service and potential for future success
- Has a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Is in the final academic year (senior year) of her secondary education and is 20 years of age or under at the end of the calendar year
- Is a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada
- Plans to attend an accredited post-secondary educational institution in the United States or Canada, full-time or part-time, in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation
- Is recommended by and receives the vote of a local PEO chapter

Title: The PEO International Scholar Awards
The PEO Scholar Awards is a Doctoral level degree (Ph.D.) award, that is aimed to support women in pursuing their Ph.D. degrees at an accredited college or university. This one-time, competitive, merit-based award was established in 1991. since 1991 this award has support around 2,527 women with spending about $28.2 million. The main goal of this award is to recognize and encourage academic excellence and achievement by women in Ph.D. degree programs.
There aren’t any special study field limitations and all students around the world in university academics, scientific research, medicine, law, performing arts, international economics, history, literature, government, and other demanding fields. The amount of this award is $20,000.

Title: The PEO Program for Continuing Education (PCE)
The PEO Program for Continuing Education (PCE) is a one-time grant for women to continue their studies and complete a degree or certification to be successful in their future careers that was established in 1973.
The maximum value of this grant is $3,000. It can be used for some purposes such as education-related expenses (like tuition, books, supplies, testing and graduation fees, transportation (only for an estimated cost of gas, parking, and local bus fare, not for auto loan payments or maintenance), childcare (only while in class or studying), uniforms required by the educational program and equipment/tools necessary for the course of study) and for academic or technical courses including online programs offered by educational institutions in the United States or Canada.
Eligibility of the PEO Program for Continuing Education (PCE)
You can achieve this grant if:
- a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada
- enrolled in a certification or degree program from an accredited institution;
- living and studying in the United States or Canada for the entire course of study
- has at least 24 consecutive months as a non-student sometime in her adult life
- within 18 consecutive months of completing her educational program which, at the conclusion of, will lead to employment or job advancement.
Title: The PEO Educational Loan Fund (ELF)
The PEO Educational Loan Fund (ELF) is an Educational Loan Fund for talented women in need of financial assistance. This study loan has a current rate of interest is 2 per cent.
Value of the PEO Educational Loan Fund (ELF)
- $12,000 for a non-degree accredited program, an associate or bachelor’s degree
- $15,000 for a master’s degree
- $20,000 for a doctoral degree
